Eventually, he comes before the regional Vice-President, a man with important historic connections to the bank. The senior has a high society wife who is playing similar tricks on him in that both have lovers. The situation blows up into a tearing row that leads to a difficult divorce but in the end, the senior marries his adoring girlfriend.
