The Elysian Project

THE ELYSIAN PROJECT: A Story of Betrayal and Payback

D. Axt

The Elysian Project is an expertly written, fast paced action thriller with a twist. It follows US marine scout sniper, Brent chandler, his surviving teammate, Lyle, and his adopted father (the Gunny), as they go after those responsible for betraying Brent’s sniper team during an military operation in Haditha, Iraq.
Chandler’s betrayal didn’t just change the lives of his U.S. Marine sniper team forever. It set him on a path of unimaginable discovery. His quest for the truth and revenge quickly goes awry, drawing the attention of billionaire Stanley Tivador and the DOJ-FBI cabal he controls. The chase is on, from northern Minnesota’s Superior National Forest to the Canary Islands. With help from the Gunny, his crotchety, retired Marine father, and Staiski, his friend and former sniper teammate, Chandler uncovers a terrorist plot of carnage inconceivable in magnitude and in lives lost. With seconds remaining, they risk everything to stop The Elysian Project.

If you like thrillers of any type, you will love this novel. It contains technical and operational details that take it a step above the ordinary.” Tim Wickenden, author of Max Becker Thrillers

From the Author

D. Axt

My professional background, training, and experience are, by no means, extraordinary or unique. Dumb luck and an insatiable quest to escape my true self probably had more to do with my career path and its successes. I am a former US Marine, an ex-security contractor for a high-risk, US government facility, a former nuclear security manager, criminal justice adjunct professor, and the author of several articles for ASIS International’s Security Management Magazine. With this, I suppose, I am able to at least add some semblance of realism to my story. My novel aims to whisk you to far-off, exotic lands and to bring their stark contrasts, their pungent tastes, sights, and smells alive in every scene. I hope to immerse you in the action, the characters’ heads, the ever-evolving conflict, and the technical feasibility of the story’s plot and subplots. Be warned, though. My novel incorporates some controversial current events and recent history. There are a few unexpected twists and topics. It is not for the faint-hearted. Semper Fi, D. Axt (brennobo123@gmail.com)
